SS Spunbond Nonwovens
Spunbond nonwovens can be grouped according the numbers and the types of their layers. SS nonwovens are formed of 2 unseeable layers. Because they are 2 layered they are more even to a certain degree. SS spunbond nonwovens have a high rates of tensile strength and elongation. The thickness is determined with the amount of the raw material on per square meter of the nonwoven. Its unit is GSM which stands for Gram per Square Meter. The higher GSM rate shows us the thicker fabric.
For different GSM degrees, spunbond nonwovens have different tensile strengths and elongations. Generally the maximum values are observed at 60-80 GSM but the thicker spunbond nonwovens are tougher. Ritas produces 100% polypropylene spunbond nonwovens. For this reason the standard spunbonds of Ritas are hydrophobic at a certain degree. We produce 1,6 m , 2.40 m and/or 3.20 m width nonwovens.
